Check your Vehicle
Your VIN is a unique 17 character serial number that can be found on your vehicle (such as the passenger side door sill) or in documentation (such as registration papers).
If you are unable to locate your VIN please contact the Takata Call Centre on 1800 988 334 to check the status of your VIN.
Further Information
Even though your vehicle may not currently be under active recall, it may later be recalled. Please check the Recall Initiation Schedule for all planned future recalls. While Nissan will seek to contact affected Consumers directly at the relevant time, we may be unable to do so if your contact details are not accurate and available to us. To update your contact details please visit https://www.nissan.com.au/forms/update-contact-details
If your airbag has been replaced by a previous recall, it may still need to be recalled if Nissan determines the replacement was also an Affected Takata Airbag Inflator. This is to ensure long term safety.
If your vehicle has had a frontal airbag replaced following a collision or other incident, any replacement airbag installed in the Vehicle may be faulty and require replacement, please contact a Nissan dealer or other authorised representative to arrange for the airbag to be checked.

Second Hand Vehicle Guide
The attached guides have been prepared to support used vehicle dealers and wholesalers to comply with the requirements of the Takata Airbag Inflators and Specified Spare Parts Recall Notice 2018. Under the Notice, used vehicle dealers MUST NOT sell any used vehicle under an active Takata airbag recall.
Nissan strongly encourage you to check any vehicle that is presented to your business for trade-in to determine if it is affected by the Takata Recall. If a prospective trade-in vehicle is involved in an active recall then encourage the owner to book the vehicle into a Nissan dealership for repair.
