Nissan introduces Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to select Navara grades

Melbourne, Australia (15 July, 2019)–  Nissan Navara SL, ST and ST-X grades have been updated with a new entertainment system that features Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity capabilities.

The all-new Alliance In-Vehicle Infotainment (AIVI) system features a larger 8.0 inch colour touchscreen with a redesigned user interface and menu, and includes Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ device mirroring – connected via USB cable.

The new AIVI system replaces the former 5.0 inch display screen on Nissan Navara SL models and the 7.0 inch touchscreen in ST and ST-X models, and maintains AM/FM radio, USB, AUX and Bluetooth® functions. The CD player is no longer offered.

In addition, Nissan Navara SL now has satellite navigation integration via device mirroring, while Navara ST and ST-X grades now include a new TomTom sat nav system.

SL, ST and ST-X grades have also had a minor exterior upgrade with the headlamp bezel updated from silver to black. On ST grades, the side steps are now finished in black.

“Nissan is pleased to introduce Apply CarPlay and Android Auto to Nissan Navara,” said Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester.

“We took the opportunity to introduce this technology with our updated infotainment system – one that not only looks great but is modern, simple and intuitive to connect to and use.”
